Admissions

The application process is designed to make the best possible match between a student and an appropriate Study Abroad program. All applicants should submit academic references and demonstrate a clear motivation for study abroad in the Congo, and an understanding of the program suggested.

Request transcripts from the registrar at colleges and universities or schools you have attended.

Request references from two university professors or academic advisors and/or Professionals who know you well.

1. Articulate your academic and personal reasons for selecting the AUK program and demonstrate the connection between your interest, the program theme, and its academic content.

2. Describe a significant intercultural experience, issue, or event and its impact upon you.

An application is complete when the Application Form and the program fee are received. Applicants are notified of admissions decisions within three weeks of receipt of the complete application.

We will notify you if significant alterations occur.

Notification of withdraw from our Study Abroad program must be in writing and that the withdrawal fee is $500 for the fall semester and $850 for the full-year.

Eventually, there are cases where programs may be suspended due to insufficient enrollment or for other reasons. Accepted students are given the option to defer to a later semester, or to withdraw without incurring a withdrawal fee.
